CHOOSING THE APPROPRIATE COMMUNICATION PLATFORM(S)

Every brand has its own story; before choosing your communication platform(s), you need to find the one that matches your own.

But how on earth to know whether your message will resonate better on Instagram or LinkedIn? Each platform has its own universe, with its own rules.

A corporate or more informal tone-of-voice? Visual content or a story to tell? Every detail counts. Your presence needs to be consistent and authentic, wherever you choose to be.

Your audience, your compass

The question you need to ask yourself is “Who do I want to talk to?”. You need to delve deeper into your audience’s habits: who and where they are, what they read and watch…

To talk to young people, for instance, a platform like TikTok, with its short, rhythmic videos, would be better suited. LinkedIn, on the other hand, is more formal and sober – a true professionals’ playground! You just have to feel the vibe 😉

Of course, it’s not enough to simply find your audience; you must also know how to talk to them. Same message, different format – you just have to adapt!

Hit, sink, spot on!

What are you looking to accomplish? You want to… raise awareness of your brand? generate engagement? convert directly?

The platform you choose should meet these objectives. A YouTube video to showcase a product, an Instagram post to inspire visually, a LinkedIn article to share facts…

But be careful not to spread yourself too thin! There’s no point being on every platform just for the sake of it. Better make an impact where you excel than be everywhere without a clue!

Far too many brands get carried away by the “I have to be everywhere” trend. The result? Their message no longer makes sense.

So forget being “in” and focus on what matters most: making your brand resonate where it can really shine!
